🤑 Remember a few weeks ago I told you how I keep getting all these scholarships and awards? I might have even boasted about how I got 10 scholarships/awards within the first two years of my Ph.D. I even went ahead and made a video about how I got a $100,000 scholarship to study in Canada 👇

💔 Well, I got REJECTED this time. So I wanted to share that with you too because a lot of times people only share their wins on the internet which can make it feel unreal and impossible to achieve for others.

👎 The scholarship I applied for was Palmares Feminin Pluriel, yes it’s the same one that I applied for last year and got it. I’m not sure if the reason I got rejected is that I got it last year, but still. Every rejection counts just as much as every win, and I want you to know that my scholarship applications get rejected too. The important thing to keep in mind is to not let these rejections prevent you from applying for future scholarships. A rejected Ph.D. application is not a mark of your capabilities, and to a very large extent, an unhappy supervisor is not necessarily a reflection of your work.
